    Endowment Campaigns

Endowment's impact on tuition is significant. Through the combination of endowment income, support to the Hope Fund and income from auxiliary enterprises such as camps and conferences, Hope is able to give each student, effectively, a tuition discount of nearly $6,000.

Your support of the endowment is a critical investment that ensures future scholarship assistance for students, collaborative student/faculty research, and supports academic innovation in changing times. Your investment in Hope's endowment will ensure that the Hope experience will endure for future generations.

    Endowed Scholarship Funds
A scholarship is considered endowed once reaching a market value of $25,000.

    Endowed Professorships
Hope currently has 17 endowed professorships. A contribution of $2 million establishes a named professorship recognizing and supporting our most distinguished faculty.

    Endowed Lectureships
Lectureships allow Hope to continue its rich tradition of fostering debate and discourse on issues of the day. Income is used to attract nationally renowned and distinguished speakers. Investments toward an endowed lectureship begin at $100,000.

    Faculty Development Funds
Funds are to be directed by the President and Provost to encourage summer research among the faculty. Donors may establish this fund to honor family members, friends or faculty. Investments toward faculty development funds begin at $100,000.

    Student-Faculty Research Funds
These funds encourage student-faculty research across the curriculum. They provide summer stipends to students to allow them to remain on campus to work with their faculty members on research projects. Investments toward student-faculty research funds begin at $100,000.

    General Endowment/Named Funds
Hope welcomes support and gifts from donors who have other specific and designated gifts in mind. Subject to approval by the college, donors will find flexibility and cooperation in creating endowments to fund opportunities that meet their vision. Investments toward general endowment or named funds begin at $25,000.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees.  To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please go to the Matching Gift page on the Hope College Advancement website.
