Rennie Harris Puremovement (RHPM) have emerged as an international hip-hop dance ambassador. In a society where hip-hop is often portrayed as a violent, undisciplined counterculture, RHPM deconstructs popular perception of this medium, expanding and challenging the boundaries and definitions of hip-hop in general.

Three Hope History alums will discuss how their major prepared them for law school and careers as lawyers. Tim Fry is in his final year at Northwestern Law School; Chris Caldwell attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and practices at Varnum in Grand Rapids; and David Charnin (law school at the University of Michigan) is Managing Director, General Counsel and CCO of Strategic Value Partners, LLC in Greenwich, CT. After their presentations they will answer questions.

A complimentary shuttle service that is available to bring alumni and their guests to the Friday night Reunion Events. The shuttle will be making stops at the Dow Center, Haworth Inn and Conference Center, Park Theater (Young Alumni Event), and Baker Lofts (Not-Quite-As-Young Alumni Event). The shuttle will be running continuously from 6:30 pm until 12:00 am and the best part is…it’s free!
Young Alumni Reunion | Park Theatre

It's a new twist on the college reunion! Join members of your class and alumni from the classes around you at this fun event in Downtown Holland's Park Theater. The evening will include a strolling dinner, Lemonjello's coffee, cash bar, dancing, conversation and more in a fun urban setting. This event will give special recognition to the traditional reunion classes of 2002, 2007 and 2012!

Not-Quite-As-Young Alumni Reunion | Baker Lofts

You don't have to be a twenty-something to have a great time at Homecoming. The proof is in the Not-Quite-As-Young Alumni Reunion Party. This event will include dinner, cash bar and the presentation of the 2012 Hope College Young Alumni Awards, followed by dancing and music that will bring you back to your days on campus. The traditional reunion classes of 1987, 1992, and 1997 will be celebrated in style at this event.

A modern adaptation of Euripides' HELEN in which Helen spends the duration of the Trojan War in a hotel room in Egypt. While she awaits Menelaus' return from the 10-year battle, she receives visits from Io and Athena and grapples with issues surrounding celebrity, beauty, and identity. Performed in the Studio Theatre, the production offers a comic and ironic twist on a centuries-old myth of "the face that launched a thousand ships."

Hope 50K Bike Ride | Holland Municipal Stadium

$20 ($15 faculty/staff/student)
Get ready to click into your pedals and roll for 50 kilometers through scenic countryside and urban settings. The inaugural 50K (31 miles) Bike Ride will be led by VeloCity Cycles, cited by Bicycling Magazine as a “Top 50 Shop Ride in the USA’. Each group is led by “Velo-Citizens” so no one gets lost or left behind. The ride is open to everyone as long as they are wearing a helmet, have at least 1 working brake on their bike, and subscribe to always riding safe and legal, watching out for each other and sharing the road. This is a recreational ride, not a race, but the average speed for each of the two rides is 16-18 mph and 20+ mph. There will be a packet pickup event on Friday at 5:30 PM at New Holland Brewery.
Hope Flying 5K Run | Holland Municipal Stadium

$20 ($10 faculty/staff/students) ($5 for students, no shirt option) | The fee for registration is $5 more after the October 5 registration deadline.
Participants enjoy a light breakfast, refreshments, a performance t-shirt, chip timing, and a fun finish on the new turf at Holland Municipal Stadium! There will be door prizes and performance prizes by age and gender. There will be a packet pickup event on Friday at 5:30 PM at New Holland Brewery.

Celebrate Hope, Homecoming and the fall season at the Saturday afternoon BBQ. Building on the tradition of the Homecoming Tailgate, this event will be a great time for alumni and families of all ages! Enjoy live music, great food, giveaways, a bags tournament, a bounce house and lots of other great activities for families. "Greek Row" will be set up on site, and other student organizations will also be on hand to greet their alumni. The H-Club will be hosting a special sale at this event where you can score some authentic Hope gear.
